New Columbia offers tours to groups or organizations seeking to learn more about the community. Whether your group is interested in sustainable “green” features, public art, or youth engagement, New Columbia tours can offer up this information and more.
New Columbia Tours can include the following components:

Tour Guides
John Keating
John is the Assistant Director of Community Building for the Housing Authority of Portland. John can speak on the history of Columbia Villa, writing grants including HOPE VI, and working with a team of experts on this project from start to finish.
Molly Gray
Molly is a New Columbia Community Builder for the Housing Authority of Portland. Molly organizes events for residents, collaborates with community partners to bring in resources and information to residents, implements programming, writes, publishes and distributes the community newsletter and manages the website. Molly specializes in speaking about resident livability, sustainability and community building.

To schedule a tour please call Molly in the New Columbia Community Building office at (503) 285-0333 or email MollyG@hapdx.org . Molly will be interested to learn about the group’s interets, the size of the group, and if the group is local, national or international. Molly can assist with providing recommendations and suggestions for accomodations including lodging and restaurants.
